OCTOBER
We’re getting ready! Community partners come together, hundreds of mini art kits are assembled, and The Craft PDX prepares to launch The Bigger Picture.
LAUNCH DATE: TRICK OR TREAT MAIN STREET |
October 30, 2026 3:30-6:00pm Downtown Tigard
NOVEMBER
Pick up your kits from The Craft PDX starting November 1, 2026 while they last.
Return your finished artwork to The Craft PDX during business hours before November 20th and we’ll add it to the community installation alongside pieces created by kids, parents, grandparents, artists, neighbors, business owners and first-time makers.

One tiny canvas. One unique perspective. One community-created work of art.
Made possible by our incredible community sponsors:
Gaarde Christian School, Dani Phan Photography, and Allee Design
A two-inch canvas may be small.
But add yours to your neighbor's.
And your kid's to someone else's grandmother's.
And an artist's to someone who hasn't picked up a paintbrush since elementary school.
Suddenly, those little pieces tell a much bigger story.
This is our community. And there's room for your piece.
1 | Pick Up Your Free Kit
The Bigger Picture art kits are available starting at Trick or Treat Main Street in Tigard, Oregon, October 30th at The Craft PDX.
Starting November 1 they will be available at The Craft PDX and select community events and partner locations while supplies last.
2 | Make it yours
Use the mini canvas inside to show us what community, kindness or belonging means to you. Paint it. Draw on it. Add words. Keep it simple. Get weird. There is no “right” answer.
3 | Bring it back
Return your completed canvas to The Craft PDX by November 20, 2026. Add your first name and age to the back if you'd like.
4 | Watch the bigger picture grow
Follow this page and our Instagram to watch the piece grow and find your piece among the others in our community!

It starts with one.
Then ten.
Then fifty.
Then hundreds.
We'll be documenting The Bigger Picture as individual canvases return and the installation grows.
We'll continue adding photos, milestones and stories from the project here, so check back to watch our community create The Bigger Picture together.

The Bigger Picture is free to participate in because local businesses and individuals chose to invest in creativity, connection and community.
Their support helps provide canvases, art supplies, take-home kits, project materials, community outreach and the final installation.

Please reach us at alexis@adtartistry.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.
Everyone! The Bigger Picture is an all-ages community art project. You don't need to consider yourself an artist or have any previous art experience.
Nothing. Participation is free, thanks to The Craft PDX and our Community Partners.
Each kit includes a miniature canvas and project instructions.
Anything inspired by community, kindness or belonging. It can be a picture, pattern, word, symbol, abstract design—or something completely unexpected.
Absolutely. Make it together or let your little artist take the lead. Parents can create their own too. Pick up your kit while they last starting November 1, 2026 at The Craft PDX.
Nope. That's kind of the point.
The Bigger Picture isn't about creating hundreds of perfect little paintings. It's about seeing what happens when hundreds of different people contribute something that's theirs.
Yes! Put your first name and age on the back if you'd like. For children's safety, please don't include last names, school names, addresses or other personal information.
Return completed canvases to:

Yes! We'd love to find ways to bring The Bigger Picture into more corners of our community. After November 1, 2026 contact us at The Craft PDX to set aside your kits.
